Write your episode
before you hit record.

Script Mode is Podnami's authoring workspace for full episode scripts. Describe the show, import source text, or bring in a live Flow to Script capture, then generate or remix a line-by-line script you can edit and load straight into the mixer. 🌊

Sign in to use Script Mode on Pro, Studio, or Enterprise.

Credits apply per successful generation or remix; line regeneration uses credits too. See how credits work →

Why Script Mode

Plan the episode before you go live

Script Mode fits naturally into the Podnami workflow — write first, then hand off to the same studio you already use.

📝

Draft before you record

Plan the episode before sitting in the live studio — arrive with a full script, not just notes.

🎙️

Keep hosts on script

Keep Kenny / Jamie (or your custom names) on-script without losing the spontaneity at record time.

🔗

Reuse your Studio prep

Tap into the Pre-Show Brief, Topics Queue, RSS feeds, or a Flow to Script capture — one source of truth.

Script formats

Four ways to shape the show

Pick the format that fits your episode before you generate — same options as the full Script Mode editor.

Two AI hosts

Back-and-forth between co-host 1 and co-host 2 — the classic duo show format.

Solo narrator (one AI)

Single AI voice carrying the episode — monologue or host-to-audience delivery.

Solo narrator + HOST lines

Mostly one AI, with explicit HOST: lines scripted for where you (the human) speak.

Two AI hosts + HOST lines

Full duo banter plus scripted moments for you on mic — perfect for jumping in on key beats.

Length & tone

Set the shape of the script

Tell the generator how long to write and what kind of energy the episode should have.

Target length

  • Micro — ~90 seconds
  • Mini — ~3 minutes
  • Short — ~5 minutes
  • Medium — ~10 minutes
  • Long — ~15 minutes

Exact runtime varies with pacing and TTS; length sets how much the model aims to write.

Tone / style

Choose how the script should feel — same presets as the live generator:

Conversational
Educational
Debate
Casual banter

Studio context

Mix-and-match context modes

Your Pre-Show Brief is the same text you maintain in Mixer / Studio Advanced settings. Toggle it on or off each time you generate — it isn't a separate product, it's the same source folded into the script prompt so the draft matches your episode plan.

Pre-Show Brief

Inject your saved brief text into the script prompt. Available when your plan includes the Topics Queue / brief path (Pro+).

Topics backlog

Pull in your saved topics backlog for research-style runs when your plan supports it (Pro+).

RSS feeds

Optional feed list as research pointers — Studio and Enterprise only, not Free/Pro.

Workflow

From topic, source, or live flow to finished script

Five steps from blank page, imported material, or a live mixer capture to a script-ready Studio session.

1

Generate

Create a full script from your topic, format, length, and style. Credits apply after a successful generation.

2

Edit & reorder

Change line text, speaker, and order in the editor. Draft autosaves to your account while you work.

3

Regenerate lines

Rewrite a single line with AI while keeping neighbors for context — billed per regeneration.

4

Import, Flow & remix

Paste Speaker: line text, pull in a Flow to Script capture from the mixer, or remix source material into a fresh draft.

5

Hand off to the mixer

Open the Studio from Script Mode: bot lines queue for playback alongside the full production controls.

Flow to Script & remix

Turn live ideas and rough notes into a polished script

Script Mode is not only a blank-page generator. It can also reshape material you already have into a clean, playable Podnami script.

Flow to Script

Capture lines from a live mixer conversation, send them into Script Mode, then keep the best parts as a structured draft instead of starting over.

Remix with AI

Paste notes, a transcript, an outline, or a Flow capture and ask Podnami to rewrite it into a new script with your chosen format, length, and tone.

Keep or transform

Use import when you want to preserve the exact lines. Use remix when the source has the right ideas but needs a stronger episode shape.

Line-level iteration

After the draft exists, regenerate individual lines while keeping neighboring context, so you can tighten awkward beats without replacing the whole script.

Multiple script languages

Draft scripts in supported output languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, and Japanese.

Studio-ready handoff

When the script is ready, send it to the mixer with the script rail, queue controls, recording tools, visualizer, and soundboard still available.

🎚️

Mixer handoff

Script Mode doesn't replace the live studio — it feeds it. One click prepares your lines for the same mixer you already use: soundboard, visualizer, recording, queue controls, and the script surface stay in one flow so you can record or stream with confidence.
